- APY, measured
- —
Measured from the Vault's own stake: APY counts the alpha its staking added, valued in $TAO at today's prices, and leaves out price moves. Both APYs, the measured one and the validator's, are counted in the subnet's alpha. A subnet with no $TAO emission still pays that alpha, but no $TAO flows into its pool, so its value in $TAO can fall. Exit value is what selling every position would return now. Past figures, not a forecast: no fixed APY or return is promised.

Profit policy
Where the profit goes
Realised profit, split three ways
The Alpha Vault stakes $TAO natively into Bittensor subnet alpha tokens, earning high APYs (~30-180%). Realised profits are split three ways: holder rewards, ongoing marketing, and buybacks & burns.

How the capital is managed
01Is the Vault's $TWIF ever sold?
No. The 30% principal is permanently locked. Only the $TAO it earns is put to work.
02Where does the Vault's capital come from?
The $TAO rewards it earns as a holder, plus $TWIF bought back from profit, which it holds until periodic burns.
03Can positions change?
Yes. Subnet positions can be rebalanced, and every allocation will be visible on this page.
04What counts as profit?
Only realised $TAO profit. Principal and unrealised gains are kept separate and are not distributed.
05Is the profit split fixed?
The current allocation is 80% to holders, 10% to marketing, and 10% to buybacks and burns. These percentages may be adjusted by the team in the future.
06Are $TAO rewards or APY guaranteed?
No fixed APY or returns are promised. Rewards depend on trading activity and the Alpha Vault's performance. Bittensor subnet alpha staking carries market risk, and the value and yield may fluctuate or decline.
